It's almost time to return to the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo for its annual event – this year at the Nation’s Capital! Several Verdani team members will be attending the conference (attendees listed below), which is being held September 26-29th in Washington, D.C.
According to Greenbuild, this year’s event highlights "the decades-long legacy and unwavering commitment of the green building movement to transforming the built environment to serve, prepare, and protect our communities in a rapidly changing world."
We are excited about this year and the lineup of expert speakers, including keynotes from Dr. Ayana Johnson, Marine Biologist, Policy Expert, Writer, and Co-founder of the non-profit think tank Urban Ocean Lab, Hollywood Star and former Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement Kal Penn, and Ali Zaidi, National Climate Advisor under the Biden-Harris Administration. Verdani CEO Daniele Horton is also a featured speaker; she will be presenting the topic ‘From Commitment to Action: Turning Net Zero Pledges into Reality’ on Wednesday, September 27th at 3pm. Additionally, Taylor Bulow, Associate Director of ESG at Verdani is moderating the discussion ‘Decarbonizing in the District: Aligning Legislation with Technology to Reduce Building Emissions’ Tuesday, September 26th at 4pm.
