In 2023, the Certifications team delivered impressive results with a total of 135 green building certifications awarded for clients, including LEED, Fitwel, WELL, IREM, and others representing over 47,000,000 square feet in 2023. These statistics underscore the efficacy and success of our Certifications services and team. | Verdani VantageIn 2024, we launched the Verdani Vantage program. Verdani Vantage is a program by which our Certifications team can provide part-time or full-time support to manage a bundle of certifications projects over the course of an annual contract. This approach streamlines the certification process, reduces administrative efforts on individual proposals, and ensures project completion by submission deadlines — all while applying discounts to our certifications project management fees.
In the recent months our Certifications team has earned numerous awards and accolades, both for our members and our clients. | | | Verdani’s ENERGY STAR CertificationVerdani’s headquarters in Carlsbad, CA recently earned our first ENERGY STAR certification, with an impressive score of 96. Achieving a score of 96 indicates that our office is more energy efficient than 96% of similar properties, nationwide. The Verdani team is proud to share this certification and continues to look for ways to elevate the sustainability of our company. To achieve such a high score, Verdani employs energy reduction strategies including LED lighting, occupancy sensors in unused spaces, power strips to turn off equipment when not in use. We maintain good data quality by consistently aggregating data from our electric utility that flows directly into ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and we also utilize the analytics in our office software to update the onsite occupancy regularly. |

| Under the EBOM rating system, Pier 4 received LEED Platinum recertification, the highest possible certification within the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED system, an improvement over its prior Gold certification level. The Pier 4 property received top marks in the energy, water, transportation, and human experience categories and boasts 18 EV charging stations, resilience-bolstering features including a partial green and cool-reflective coating roof, and an AquaFence that is powered by 100% renewable energy credits (RECs). In tandem with the recent LEED Platinum recertification, Pier 4 maintains a Fitwel 2 Star rating and an ENERGY STAR score of 86. |

| | Zocalo LEED Gold RecertificationOur Certifications team supported Zocalo Community Development in achieving LEED Gold recertification for its Premier Lofts property.
This property, located in Denver, was previously LEED Certified; Verdani and Zocalo increased its score by an whopping 26 points! Attributes that helped elevate the sustainability of the project include improved waste diversion performance (36% average diversion rate), tenant satisfaction results (over 85% of tenants reporting to be satisfied, very satisfied, or extremely satisfied), and increased commuter survey results from tenants. |
