Verdani Partners I A Year to Remember
2016 has been a year of tremendous growth and progress at Verdani Partners. We have added four members to our team and partnered with two more clients. Four team members received LEED AP accreditations and one became Verdani's first WELL AP, making our team 85% LEED Accredited Professionals. We published five annual sustainability reports and submitted seven Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmarks (GRESB) surveys sharing the great progress our clients have made on their Environmental Social Governance programs. Once again, our clients proved themselves as industry leaders by ranking within the top ten organizations in their respective GRESB sectors.

We are currently supporting five national and international portfolios encompassing 2,470 properties and over 300 Million square feet of diversified assets which equate to almost 80 billion in combined asset value! In addition to our client work, we are developing educational webinars for industry best practices and a Sustainable Real Estate book to use in universities across the country among other projects. As we close out 2016, we are more energized than ever to continue our goal to have a positive impact in the world by creating more efficient, sustainable and healthy buildings in a scalable and economic way!
Verdani Client's GRESB Rankings
Our team is very proud of CommonWealth Partners, Clarion Partners, Parkway Properties, Colony Capital, and Jamestown for their achievements this year. Five of our clients' funds ranked within the top five of their respective sectors, two within the top ten, and five received GRESB’s “Green Star” for their industry leadership. Despite increasing participation and competition, our clients have continued to improve their scores and ranking. Verdani is proud to partner with these organizations on an long term basis to work together toward increasing investor value, tenant demand, and operational savings while creating more efficient and healthier places to live and work. See Verdani's Press Release Here!

LEED Registration Deadline and the Dynamic Plaque
The deadline to register LEED EBOM v. 2009 projects is on October, 31st 2016. If you are considering undergoing LEED certification via the traditional certification route, we recommend registering your project now under LEED EBOM v. 2009. We also recommend switching to the LEED Dynamic Plaque since it's a more streamlined and cost effective certification path. For more information about the deadline and to learn the difference between standard Certification and LEED Dynamic Plaque, read our latest blog post and click on Verdani' s informative video! Also read our 2015 blog post for a detailed cost comparison of the different recertification options.

Giving Back I Green Apple Day of Service
Verdani offers 8 hours of paid time off per employee per year to give back to our communities. Green Apple Day of Service is a great opportunity for individuals and local organizations to help schools through local service events. This year's Green Apple Day of Service took place on Saturday, Sept. 24. Verdani Partners' Shubha Mohunta volunteered at Encinitas Farm Lab School to make upgrades to the campus' landscape building outdoor spaces including an environmental mural.
