This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit our website (https://verdani.com), engage with our services, receive emails from us, or interact with any of our proprietary tools.

1. Information We Collect

4. Third-Party Tools and Platforms

In the course of delivering our services, Verdani may use secure third-party platforms — including but not limited to Azure and AWS — to collect, transmit, store, or analyze client data. These platforms are used to support internal collaboration, data gathering, spatial analysis, reporting, and project delivery.

Any personal or confidential information transmitted through these tools will be handled in accordance with our professional standards, applicable NDAs, and client agreements. These third-party services may have their own privacy policies and data handling practices, which we encourage clients to review separately.

5. Email, Contractual, and Confidential Data Handling

Verdani frequently communicates via email with clients and partners regarding confidential projects, IP, and contractual documents. While we apply reasonable security measures, email transmission is inherently insecure. We recommend the use of secure file-sharing platforms for sensitive or regulated data.

Any confidential or proprietary materials exchanged will be handled in accordance with NDAs, service agreements, and applicable professional standards.  We are not responsible for security incidents that result from factors outside our reasonable control, including client-side email vulnerabilities or client failure to secure access credentials.

Clients are responsible for adhering to their own internal policies and securing access credentials when using Verdani-approved third-party platforms for project communication or file exchange.

6. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. While we strive to secure our systems, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal and project-related data for as long as necessary to fulfill contractual, legal, and operational purposes. Data may also be archived for business continuity, legal defense, or historical benchmarking, unless otherwise specified in your agreement with Verdani.

8. Use of Verdani Tools

Users of Verdani tools may provide data including but not limited to emissions metrics, energy data, asset performance benchmarks, and portfolio characteristics. This data is used solely for consulting deliverables, benchmarking, reporting, and platform optimization. We do not use this data for external marketing or sale. Separate user agreements or terms of use may apply to each tool.
