Verdani Partners and Soapbox Advance Strategic Collaboration to Support Decarbonization and Capital Planning for Commercial Real Estate
Verdani Partners and Soapbox are advancing a strategic, non-exclusive collaboration designed to help commercial real estate clients move from decarbonization goals and portfolio-level analysis into asset-level transition planning, retrofit prioritization, and capital planning.
As real estate owners and investors face increasing pressure to improve building performance, manage transition risk, respond to evolving regulations, and align capital plans with long-term sustainability goals, many organizations need clearer pathways from analysis to action. The Verdani–Soapbox collaboration is designed to support that need through a Verdani-led, Soapbox-supported model that combines Verdani’s client-facing advisory, program management, and real estate sustainability expertise with Soapbox's AI-powered analysis platform, growing library of AI agents specialized for real estate, and expert-in-the-loop retrofit guidance.
Under the collaboration, Verdani will continue to serve as the primary client interface and program lead, supporting client strategy, project management, implementation planning, stakeholder coordination, and overall delivery oversight. Soapbox will support the Verdani team, provisioning a growing library of AI agents handling asset-level modeling, retrofit analysis, capital planning analytics, backed by technical guidance where needed.

The collaboration is structured around a co-developed service model,with Verdani leading client engagement and Soapbox's AI agents scaling the technical analysis behind decarbonization and capital planning workflows. The model is intended to help clients better evaluate retrofit opportunities, understand cost and carbon reduction potential, prioritize projects, and integrate decarbonization considerations into capital planning and asset management decisions.
A key focus of the collaboration will be helping clients address common challenges that can slow progress from strategy to execution, including inconsistent building data, unclear project sequencing, limited visibility into retrofit costs and savings, and difficulty translating portfolio-level goals into asset-level action plans. By combining advisory support with technology-enabled analysis, Verdani and Soapbox aim to help clients make more informed, practical, and financially aligned decisions.
