Michael supports both the Certifications department and Verdani Technical Services by managing existing building certification projects and conducting Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) performance testing.

He works with building owners and property managers on a variety of certifications, including LEED EBOM, Fitwel, IREM CSP, and WELL. Michael has over seven years of experience in urban sustainability, offering expertise in green building certifications, sustainability policy research, local government, and stakeholder engagement. Before arriving at Verdani, he consulted with residential and commercial developers to incorporate sustainable design and construction strategies into LEED for Homes and New Construction projects. Michael graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and a minor in Urban Studies and Planning. He is also an accredited LEED AP O+M, WELL AP, TRUE Advisor, EcoDistrics AP, and Fitwel Ambassador; currently he is studying for his LEED AP BD+C credential.
