An Annual Report that Engages & Informs
Verdani combined our report-development skills with our subject-matter knowledge to deliver an outstanding annual report package.
The Client
A nationally recognized diversified commercial real estate owner and developer who had utilized our report-writing services for several years. The client returned to us after working with another agency because of our expertise in sustainability communications.
The Approach
Assembled a team of content writers and designers, each tasked with specific aspects of the report-creation process, along with a project manager to keep everyone on track.
Developed a comprehensive project management tool to structure the creation process and mapped out a timeline that allowed for content collection, writing, design ideation and production, and numerous rounds of review within the desired time frame.
Conducted interviews for case studies and created a script for a video message from the company’s CEO.
Created a unique design template that utilized the client’s property photography and photos of company team members and social events to personalize the report, with custom graphics to succinctly convey complex data.
After completing the main report, collated fund-specific information and drafted additional content for fund-level tear-outs, which were laid out following the main report’s design template to ensure a consistent look and feel.
Also based on the same template, created a summary microsite that incorporated highlights from the report presented with custom animations.
Throughout the process, maintained a regular cadence of client meetings to keep them updated on progress and facilitate content collection.
The Result
We delivered an engaging, comprehensive annual report with fund-specific tear-outs and an animated summary microsite ahead of the requested due date. The report and tear-outs provide thorough coverage of the client’s ESG program, goals, and progress, portrayed within a design framework that distinguished it from others, while the corresponding microsite serves as a dynamic, at-a-glance overview of the program.
